OCD and anxiety tend to latch onto whatever a person cares about most, and the more it matters, the stronger they get. Some people arrive having already tried therapy that never quite reached the core of it. Sophia trains her focus there, on the complicated, persistent presentations of OCD and anxiety that call for a specialist’s depth rather than a general approach.

Who Sophia Works With

Teens (16+) Sophia works with older teens who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, OCD, or the pressure to have everything figured out. She helps them face the fears that drive avoidance and build a steadier, kinder relationship with themselves.

Adults She works with adults navigating anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, and self-criticism, including presentations that feel complicated or slow to shift. Her training in specialized anxiety and OCD approaches means she is comfortable with the harder cases that need a focused, exposure-based approach.

Complex & Persistent OCD For clients whose OCD or anxiety has been slow to shift, or hasn’t responded to past therapy, Sophia offers focused, exposure-based treatment for the harder, more entrenched presentations.

Sophia's Approach

Sophia’s work is exposure-based and paced with a great deal of compassion. ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) is the core of how she treats OCD, since it carries the strongest research support, and she pairs it with ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) so clients can build self-compassion while they do genuinely difficult work. Her specialized training means she is willing to stay in the hard material alongside a client instead of steering around it. The aim is not a life with no anxiety, but a life where anxiety no longer runs the show.
