Dr. Hannah Elias

Licensed Psychologist Candidate

OCD, Anxiety & Child/Family Relationships

Kids, Teens, Adults, Parents

When anxiety takes hold in a child, it doesn’t stay in one room — it moves through the whole family. Dr. Hannah Elias works with kids, teenagers, and the parents alongside them, helping families face anxiety, trauma, or emotional dysregulation together rather than build their lives around it. She believes every client already carries the strength they need. Her job is to help bring it out.

The VPG Difference

All Vivid Psychology Group clinicians are trained in ERP and specialize in anxiety and OCD treatment. This is our core focus, not a side offering.

Who Dr. Elias Works With

Kids (Ages 7+)

Dr. Elias works directly with children navigating anxiety, OCD, and parent-child relationship challenges, weaving in creativity, competition, and a little silliness to pull out the willingness that exists in every child. She brings family into sessions as appropriate to strengthen the parent-child relationship and build skills for child and caregiver at the same time.

Teens

She works with teenagers on OCD, anxiety, trauma, executive-functioning challenges, black-and-white thinking, and identity development. Her direct, honest style tends to connect well with adolescents who don’t want to be talked down to — and who are ready to do real work.

Parents

Trained in SPACE, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Alternatives for Families CBT (AF-CBT), she helps parents build consistent, loving responses to a child’s anxiety or behavioral outbursts. She also holds a SPACE specialty in ARFID, making her a strong fit for parents of picky eaters navigating the worry that comes with selective eating.

Adults

While children and families are her primary focus, Dr. Elias also works with adults navigating OCD, anxiety, and life transitions, bringing the same evidence-based, direct approach as she actively expands this area of her practice.

Clients with Minoritized Identities

Conversations of identity, privilege, power, and safety belong in the therapy room. Dr. Elias practices from a culturally humble lens, quick to name power dynamics in the room or out in the world while leaving the client in control of how, if, and when to explore them further.

Dr. Elias's Approach

Dr. Elias brings a relational, strengths-based approach that shifts to fit whoever is in the room — whether that’s a seven-year-old learning about their big feelings, a teenager who’s exhausted from fighting their brain, or a parent who has tried everything and is still stuck. She believes humor, storytelling, and simply sitting in the trenches together are powerful interventions in their own right. She draws on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to address anxiety, OCD, trauma, and the family dynamics that so often surround them. Those who work with Hannah describe catching themselves in unhelpful thought patterns they hadn’t noticed before, and feeling like their emotions are allowed to show up rather than problems to fix. For families, therapy is about understanding each other in ways that make home feel more like a team. Hannah believes the strength and wisdom you need already exists in you — therapy doesn’t create it; it helps you find it.
