Dr. Elias’s Approach

Dr. Elias, or Hannah as her clients call her, loves to work with anyone dealing with emotions that feel big and overwhelming. She has worked with people of all ages to help understand their anxiety, trauma, depressive feelings, and relationship problems. She finds creative solutions to help her clients live their life in meaningful ways while honoring and acknowledging their feelings. Hannah especially loves to work with pre-teens, teens, and young adults who find themselves dealing with irritability and lashing  out, social isolation and withdrawal, and the constant pressure to have it all under control.

Hannah has been trained in individual therapy, parenting work, and family work. She  loves to blend research-backed therapy methods with a personalized approach, getting to know what works for YOU and your family. Her style is flexible, curious, warm, and responsive to individual needs. She holds unconditional positive regard for every one of  her clients and she values being equally validating and challenging. Whether working with kids, teens, or adults, she believes there is a need for humor and fun within therapy just as much as grounding, processing, and skill building. She also is passionate about  acknowledging and examining the role that power and privilege play within mental health concerns and the therapeutic relationship.

If your anxiety, trauma, OCD, or low mood is getting in the way of the life you want to  live and the relationships you want to have, you are not alone. If you have found yourself thinking “I can’t live like this anymore, I need to try something different,” or if you are tired of your emotions being in the driver’s seat of your life, Hannah would love to work with you.
