Medicaid Anxiety & OCD Treatment Program
Science-backed anxiety and OCD treatment now accessible through Colorado Access Medicaid

You Deserve Relief. Medicaid Can Help You Get It.
Finding effective mental health care shouldn’t be a privilege. That’s why Vivid Psychology Group accepts Colorado Access Medicaid (Region 3, Region 5, CHP+, and DHMC) for anxiety and OCD treatment, both in-person and online.
If you’re struggling with anxiety, panic, OCD, or body-focused behaviors, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to manage it alone. Our specialized Medicaid program offers structured, research-backed treatment that helps you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Who This Program Is For
We provide Medicaid-covered care to clients who:
If that sounds like you or someone you care about, you’re likely a fit for our program.

What We Treat
Our clinicians specialize in treating a range of anxiety-related conditions, including:
We also support individuals dealing with overlapping symptoms like intrusive thoughts, avoidance, overthinking, and trauma/PTSD.

What to Expect from Treatment
Our program is led by doctoral externs who are extensively trained and closely supervised by senior licensed psychologists. Every client receives high-quality, evidence-based treatment, no shortcuts, and no filler.
Treatment approaches include:
- ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) for OCD and avoidance behaviors
- CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) for thought patterns and behavioral change
- ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) for building flexibility and resilience
We tailor treatment to your specific symptoms and goals. Sessions are active, structured, and focused on helping you build real-world coping skills, not just talk through problems.

Who We’re Able to Support
We want to ensure that each client receives the right level of care. At this time, our Medicaid program may not be the best fit if:
- You are primarily seeking treatment for substance use
- You have recent history of suicidality, violence, or psychiatric hospitalization
- You have untreated psychosis or an active eating disorder
- You are enrolled in a Medicaid plan other than Colorado Access (e.g. RMHP, NHP, HCI, CCHA)
If you’re unsure, reach out. We’ll help you determine whether we’re the right place, and if not, we’ll help guide you to someone who is.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between this Medicaid program and standard therapy at Vivid Psychology Group?
This program is specifically for clients using Colorado Access Medicaid and is led by doctoral externs under close supervision. It offers the same evidence-based treatments used in standard care, just with expanded accessibility and a lower cost barrier.
How much does treatment cost with Colorado Access Medicaid?
There is no out-of-pocket cost for most clients enrolled in Colorado Access Medicaid. We’ll verify your eligibility and confirm any exceptions during the intake process.
Can I choose my therapist or extern?
While we take your preferences into account, therapist assignments are based on clinical fit, availability, and supervision structure. Every extern is trained and supervised to deliver high-quality, research-backed care.
What’s the difference between a doctoral extern and a licensed psychologist?
A doctoral extern is in the final stages of their clinical psychology training. They provide treatment as part of their doctoral program and are closely supervised by licensed psychologists. This structure ensures you get well-supported, high-quality care.
How long does treatment usually last in this program?
Treatment duration varies based on your needs. Many clients begin seeing progress within 8 to 12 sessions, but we’ll work with you to determine the right length and pace for your care.
Do I need a formal diagnosis to start treatment?
No. If you’re experiencing anxiety, OCD, or related symptoms, that’s enough to begin. Your clinician will work with you during the intake to clarify any diagnoses if needed.
Can I participate if I live outside Denver?
Yes. If you’re enrolled in Colorado Access Medicaid and live in an eligible region (Region 3, Region 5, CHP+, or DHMC), you can access treatment online from anywhere in Colorado.
What if I have overlapping concerns like depression or ADHD?
As long as anxiety or OCD is your primary concern, we may still be a good fit. During your free consult, we’ll discuss all relevant symptoms and determine the best course of action.
How soon can I start after my consultation?
In most cases, clients are matched with a clinician within 1 to 2 weeks after the initial consult, depending on availability.
Can parents or caregivers join sessions for adolescents?
Yes. We often include caregivers in treatment planning and progress updates for adolescents, with the teen’s consent and in ways that support their growth and autonomy.
